My name is Robert Glöer and I’m the course tutor for specialist language training in law at ISEU. After successfully completing my law degree and legal traineeship (including at the Permanent Representation of Germany at the European Union, Brussels), I spent time working as a lawyer and providing legal support for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Kosovo.
I also discovered a passion for teaching German and now have sixteen years of teaching experience under my belt, including seven years of teaching specialist German to lawyers.
I can support you in all areas of legal language learning and would be happy to help you expand your legal vocabulary in your specific area of practice. Lawyers working in a wide range of fields have already benefited from my ability to fine tune their knowledge of specialist legal terminology.
I would be delighted to arrange a no-obligation personal consultation with you and look forward to hearing from you.
Robert Glöer, LL.M.
Drawing on my wealth of experience in training legal practitioners, I am able to quickly gain a firm grasp on your specialist field, even if the topics are highly specialized.
I have already provided language training to course participants in virtually all areas of the law – be it commercial and corporate law or the German Civil Code and criminal law.
Even very specialist matters, such as non-performing loans, recourse liability of public officials in cases of state liability or contracts for plant construction projects, pose me no problem.
I also specialize in teaching lawyers how to deal with legal texts (structure and composition skills) and legal methods (style of opinions and reports for law students). I am more than happy to incorporate original texts encountered during your legal work into your specialist language training.
