Pronunciation training is a core component of our language courses. Pitch, accentuation, intonation, rhythm and emphasis are all linguistic forms of expression that require specific training using efficient methods.
We will teach you how to practice making the correct sounds and how to get the intonation, accentuation and rhythm right. We will also make you aware of the contrasts to your mother tongue and will train your ear.
My name is Thomas Eufinger. As a graduate of linguistics and a trained opera singer, I use all my knowledge of phonetics and singing to help you make yourself better understood.
My years of experience giving pronunciation lessons and my work with countless foreign languages were the key motivating factors that drove me to develop a unique method with online materials for delivering professional and efficient pronunciation training.
My team and I use exercises especially created to improve your pronunciation and to help you speak fluently. We’re the right port of call even if you simply want to improve your accent or work on your intonation.
The pronunciation used in operas is different to the standard pronunciation used on the radio or in the theater. The stress and intonation take their cue from the music so opera singers only need to be trained on these aspects to prepare them for delivering spoken dialogue. Pronunciation training should also focus on individual sounds and especially vowels, as these play an important role in opera singing.
We have the required specialist knowledge to provide particularly effective pronunciation training for opera singers.
